Research into new formulations using Secondary Raw Materials

At present, many researchers have explored the possibility of reusing industrial waste and secondary raw materials in the formulation of mixtures for the production of porcelain ceramic tiles. However, most of these studies have been conducted under laboratory conditions without investigating the actual industrial feasibility.

Based on the indications provided by the raw material sintering studies conducted by UNIMORE, Gresmalt is currently studying, on a pre-pilot scale, alternative formulations to the production standard that can yield compliant products with a lower environmental impact.

At the end of the activity, the circularity index of the best formulations identified will be determined.
