Within the REDIRECT project, one of the planned activities (WP 7) is the study of the tecnological characteristics for processing lavoration waste from granite quarries in Northern Sardinia.
The chemical and crystallographic aspects of these materials may become favourable conditions in view of chemical processes of environmental interest such as the capture of CO2 from the atmosphere or the production of green hydrogen.
Potential circular supply chains organised for the recovery of these valuable materials can reactivate local economies and make national markets more competitive in line with the principles of environmental sustainability and circularity of resources.
