Drawing up the territorial scopes of disused quarry sites

UNISS research for the characterisation of the territorial context of disused quarry sites (WP 7) is proceeding. Specifically, a project referring to the Municipality of Buddusò has been launched for the research, analysis and management of data. 

The aim of the project is to define a new methodological approach for the survey and graphic restitution of the sites. 

An initial experimentation superimposed a grid on the territory (divided into squares starting from a 1000x1000 m dimension to a 10x 10) by having each pixel absorb the features (1) surveyed in the field with a drone, (2) modelled through the use of the Rhino programme and in augmented reality through Unity and (3) processed through the Agisoft Metashape programme.
