UNISS pursues research within WP 7 and... finds reinforcements!
After the first survey studies conducted on the municipality of Buddusò, a reconnaissance was carried out on the peculiarities and potential of the historic centre and the local economies that characterise it. This was conducted through the in situ survey of abandoned buildings, organising a one-day meeting with the administration and local stone craftsmen.
On the occasion of this meeting, a framework agreement was signed between the Department of Architecture Design and Urban Planning of the University of Sassari and the Municipal Administration of Buddusò, with the promise to find new strategies for the valorisation of the historical buildings - obviously in granite - also through the realisation of new construction elements for the integration/rehabilitation of the buildings by reusing quarry waste.
