State of the art on recycling and reuse of stone and ceramic materials: results

UNISS concludes the research carried out in WP 7.

Of the 54 case studies collected in the atlas, 24 were investigated in relation to the LCZ to which they belonged: thus the envelopes were analysed both in terms of their constituent materials and production process, and for their technological characteristics.

The technological characteristics of the building envelopes analysed were always independent of the LCZs, demonstrating that, however virtuous, the design did not take into account the correlation between the climatic context and the environmental profile of the buildings.

The results were collected in 24 building-sheets summarising the salient features and aspects that emerged, such as: envelope materials; production process; technological characteristics; envelope disassembly and assembly process.
