On the occasion of European Researchers' Night, held on September 30, 2022, the team from the University of Calabria (Unical) participated in the event by presenting the research activities developed as part of the REDiRECT project.
European Researchers' Night is an initiative dedicated to scientific dissemination and dialogue between research and society, with the aim of bringing the public closer to the world of research and enhancing its role in everyday life. Within this context, Unical's participation represented an opportunity to share the results and objectives of the REDiRECT project with a wide and diverse audience.
During the event, the research team illustrated the main lines of activity of the project, focused on the development of innovative circular economy models applied to the ceramics and mining sectors. The focus was on ongoing research and development activities and the scientific contribution of the project to the definition of sustainable and operational solutions.
The presentation provided an opportunity to explain the role of university research in supporting the transition to more efficient and sustainable production models, highlighting the importance of collaboration between academia and industry. In this sense, REDiRECT was presented as an example of a project capable of combining technological innovation, sustainability, and practical applications.
Participation in the European Researchers' Night is part of the REDiRECT project's dissemination activities and helps to strengthen dialogue with the local community, promoting greater awareness of applied research and sustainability issues.
