The REDiRECT project officially concluded on December 31, 2023, at the end of the research and development program's planned work period. This deadline marks the end of a journey that began in October 2020 and developed through intense collaboration between businesses and universities.
During the project, issues related to the circular economy, environmental, economic, social, and technological sustainability, and the transformation of industrial models in the ceramics and mining sectors were addressed. Research, experimentation, and dissemination activities have led to the development of assessment tools, operational models, and methodological approaches aimed at greater integration between sustainability and innovation.
The project also promoted ongoing dialogue with academia, institutions, and the local community through seminars, conferences, scientific contributions, and outreach initiatives. This exchange helped strengthen the practical application of the results and promote their dissemination in industrial and scientific contexts.
The conclusion of the activities marks the end of the REDiRECT project in its operational form, but also represents a starting point for the exploitation of the results obtained and for the development of new research and innovation initiatives on the themes of sustainability and the circular economy.
